JOKE: Why should bowling alleys be quiet?

ANSWER: So you can hear a pin drop!

EXPLANATION:  The saying “you can hear a pin drop” means it’s so quiet, even if a pin dropped, you’d be able to hear it.  At a bowling alley, you throw a ball to knock down bowling “pins”, which of course are a different kind of pin.
